Membership in Detail
ONLINE CPD
Members receive free access to live online CPD events, with approximately 15 formal CPD points available annually. RAA's online CPD program provides accessible professional development tailored to issues relevant to regional practice. Sessions feature fellow members, industry experts and technical specialists.
EVENT RECORDINGS
Members receive free access to recordings of RAA’s past online events and associated CPD. Our growing library of recorded presentations allows members to access professional development and discussions at a time that suits them.
FIELD JOURNAL
RAA’s Architect and Affiliate members receive a printed copy of Field – Architecture Gone Regional. RAA's annual publication shares projects, ideas and conversations that celebrate architecture in regional communities and the people shaping them.
MEMBER FORUM
Access to the forum on WhatsApp is a key benefit of membership. The Member Forum provides a space to seek advice, share knowledge and discuss issues affecting regional practice with peers who understand the unique challenges and opportunities of working outside metropolitan centres.
MEMBER DIRECTORY
RAA members can create a Member Directory profile, enabling peer connection locally and across Australia.
IN-PERSON EVENTS
Members can access reduced price tickets to the three major events RAA runs each year in regional locations across Australia. These events bring practitioners together to explore the opportunities and challenges facing regional communities while showcasing architecture's contribution to place, culture and local economies.
COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS
Members have free access to Community Conversation events and are welcome to propose running one themselves. Community Conversations are smaller, locally hosted events designed to strengthen professional connections and foster engagement between practitioners and their communities through site visits, talks and informal discussions.
PARTNER BENEFITS
RAA collaborates with organisations including ACA, ArchiTeam and Parlour to strengthen advocacy, share knowledge and support the profession. RAA members have access to selected partner event discounts and opportunities.
WORKING GROUPS
Working Groups allow members to contribute their expertise to specific projects, initiatives and areas of advocacy, helping shape the future direction of the organisation.
