RAA Membership Benefits & Programs for 2025/26

All members of the Regional Architecture Association have access to a wide range of benefits including free online CPD, discounts and opportunities to shape the direction of the association. Most importantly, you will be supporting the important work being undertaken on behalf of regional architectural practitioners and be connected to a network dedicated to enhancing regional built environment outcomes.

WHO IS RAA MEMBERSHIP FOR?
RAA is inclusive; it is for architecture, not only architects, understanding that a wide range of allied professions play a significant role in achieving improved built environment outcomes along with all levels of government and the broader community.

To that end, RAA membership is open to everyone, city or country based, with an interest in or connection to what is happening in regional Australia and wanting to be part of a community of like-minded individuals from diverse backgrounds. Likewise, RAA events are open to associated disciplines and interested community as well as RAA members.

FACE TO FACE EVENTS
Members have access to discounted tickets to RAA’s face to face events run in different locations 3 times a year. These act as forums for discussion and engagement; they set out to inspire, showcasing how architecture can truly benefit and engage regional communities and culture, whilst also contributing to the local communities that host them. The Main Seminar Day (offering at least 6 formal CPD points) is usually on a Friday with a Fringe Program of optional events on the Thursday and Saturday either side; these are designed to offer further opportunities to engage with the local area in a fun and relaxing way.

FREE ONLINE CPD
RAA offers at least 15 formal CPD points via its online events each year, all free to members. Online ‘In Practice’ sessions are hosted by fellow members, industry experts and others, addressing current issues relevant to regional practitioners. Online ‘In Detail’ sessions are technical presentations and Q+A sessions by our industry members.

ACCESS TO ONLINE EVENT RECORDINGS
Members have free access to recordings of past online events and associated CPD.

YOUR PEER COMMUNITY
In the 2025-2026 financial year, RAA will add two smaller community events to its calendar. The format for these will involve a local practice hosting a casual event, inviting other practitioners and the local community to join them as a means of forming peer connections in your local area. They will be supported by a technical members and likely take place over an afternoon or evening.

WORKING GROUPS
Working Groups are sub-committees focused on specific topics and offer members the opportunity to contribute their knowledge and skills to the RAA community and shape the areas of advocacy the organisation undertakes.

RAA PUBLICATION
RAA Architect & Affiliate members will receive a copy of RAA’s annual publication Field - Architecture Gone Regional as part of their membership. Produced by the Regional Architecture Association, Field reflects the regions we work in — their landscapes, communities, and creative energy. It celebrates our members and the projects that shape regional places, while sharing ideas and innovation from RAA conversations with a broader audience. Field connects community, sparks dialogue, and honours the craft and care that define architecture in the regions.

MEMBER DIRECTORY

This is accessible through the member content area on our website. You can see who else belongs to this wonderful organisation and, importantly, connect directly with each other.

ONLINE MEMBER WHATSAPP FORUM
Members gain access to the RAA WhatsApp Community, an active space for discussion and engagement.

PARTNER ORGANISATIONS
The Association of Consulting Architects (ACA) offers RAA members a 15% discount on their national events. Parlour also extends a 15% discount on attendance of their events to RAA members.
