Sam Charles-Ginn, Principal Advisor Urban Design and Architecture will provide delegates with an update from the Office of the Queensland Government Architect.

A registered architect and with broad experience within the built environment industry, Sam Charles-Ginn advocates for design quality in the urban environment while contributing to community projects as a designer, strategic planner and advisor. He has worked across various community sectors including cultural facilities, education, tourism, land use, and housing.

After several years working as a sole practitioner in SEQ, Sam joined Plan C as the Design and Development Lead where he assisted in community-led planning and development projects throughout Queensland and the Northern Territory. In 2022, Sam joined the Office of the Queensland Government Architect as an Advisor where he has become a key team member promoting design value and contributing to state-significant urban projects including cultural venues and the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
