POWER OF COMMUNITY presenter

Marnie Hawson will discuss where businesses who want to “do better for nature” can start, and how they can move beyond carbon. Her workshop will make biodiversity real, accessible, and directly connected to business reality — bringing nature into the room in a tangible, practical way.

MARNIE HAWSON

Marnie Hawson is a former environmental scientist turned photographer, using two connected paths to support nature through the built environment.

Through her photography practice, Marnie Hawson, she only photographs design that matters - sustainable architecture, green infrastructure, and regenerative landscapes that tackle climate change, biodiversity loss, and housing that’s good for people and planet. Her work helps architects and designers show what responsible, future-focused design actually looks like.

Her second venture, Business of Biodiversity, gives businesses in the built environment simple, practical tools to take real action for nature - beyond just carbon.

Both sides of her work are about changing the story and the system - showing what good looks like, and helping others make it the norm.
