Dr Mark B. Luther will speak about and display his prototype hydronic suspended ceiling panel. This panel is a radiant system that has overcome many of the problems previously associated with radiant ceiling panels - being slow, costly and embodied energy intensive. It is lightweight, dynamic and modular providing a more healthy conditioning system than floor and air blowing systems operating at 1/3 of the cost.

DR MARK B. LUTHER

Honorary Professor, Dr Mark B. Luther is the former consortium director of MABEL (the Mobile Architecture and Built Environment Laboratory at Deakin University, Geelong Australia. A facility that measured the Indoor Environmental Performance of over 35 buildings throughout Australia (Darwin to Hobart). He is a registered architect in Michigan (USA) and Victoria (Australia). He taught for over 27 years in the School of Architecture and Built Environment at Deakin University, in graduate and undergraduate courses in building sciences, building services, acoustics, lighting and sustainability.

Presently, Mark is the founding director of Environmental Energy Services (founded 2012) and located outside Geelong, Victoria.  EES designs, sells and installs renewable energy systems (Solar PV, battery, and heat pumps). It is also a Research and Development company which prototypes products such as the Environmental Service Pod (ESP) and the patented Modular Hydronic Conditioning Ceiling Panel.

Mark has produced over 100 peer reviewed papers that have been published worldwide in distinguished journals. He has been invited as a keynote speaker to Europe and the USA. as well as throughout Australia.
