RAA In Practice | The Proposed Changes to the NCC 2025 | Credwell

This 1 hour session offers 1 formal CPD point, performance criteria addressed are 46 and 58 from the AACA National Standard of Competency for Architects 2021.

The Session
The NCC goes through cyclical updates. This presentation will focus on the new changes to the NCC and what to expect covering all areas such as Health & Amenity, Access, Fire & ESD compliance.
Padraig Healy
Paddy is a passionate sustainability consultant and Director at Credwell who brings a wealth of experience from both Ireland and Australia to any project he is involved with.
Paddy was amongst the first to become a NABERS Accredited Assessor for Apartment Buildings and has worked on numerous Section J Reports, JV3 Reports, BASIX Certifications, NABERS Certifications, and Green Star Projects for an array of building classifications.
He has a reputation for creating long-standing relationships, meeting deadlines, and skilfully addressing energy regulation, while holistically balancing BCA and design outcomes.
In 2021 Paddy’s sustainability team expanded and offers more services in the areas of sustainable building regulation, sustainable building design, and sustainable building ratings.
Andrew Beames
Andrew is a dedicated Senior Building Surveyor at Credwell with more than ten years of experience across fire services, passive fire, access consulting and BCA advisory. His project work spans residential developments, transport facilities and major hospital upgrades, giving him a strong understanding of both regulatory requirements and practical site conditions.
Known for his methodical, solutions‑focused approach, Andrew works closely with builders, developers, architects and strata managers to interpret complex compliance requirements and deliver efficient, design‑conscious outcomes. His clear communication, attention to detail and ability to balance competing priorities make him a trusted advisor throughout all stages of a project.
