ACCESS INFO
Cobar is located at the crossroads of the Barrier Hwy and the Kidman Way in Outback New South Wales.
Drive
Cobar about 8 hours drive from Sydney, 7 hours from Canberra and 9 hours from Melbourne.
Fly
PelicanAir have up to 5 return flights from Sydney per week connecting Cobar directly. Cobar Regional Airport is located 5km southwest of Cobar’s Town Centre. More information can be found on the pelican air website: www.flypelican.com.au.
Bus
You can also come by bus to Cobar with NSW TrainLink Regional coach. This service runs between Dubbo and Broken Hill, via Nyngan and Cobar. From Dubbo, NSW TrainLink Regional train and coach service connect to most major centres. For more information visit: www.transportnsw.info.
Taxi
Cobar has a taxi operator who services the township area. Cobar Taxi Cabs can be contacted on 0499 363 322.
PREPARING TO TRAVEL
In the outback, there is limited mobile service coverage. The most reliable mobile service provider is currently Telstra in the township area. Other options for connection include satellite connections.
Cobar is sealed in all 4 directions on the Kidman Way and the Barrier Hwy, all other internal roads may be subject to adverse weather conditions. Ensure you check LiveTraffic for the latest road conditions before you set off down a red dirt road.
Cobar is 130km from Nyngan, 160km from Bourke, 255km from Hillston and 260km from Wilcannia.

CARPOOLING & COMMUNICATION
We will set up an event specific WhatsApp group for REFLECTIONS, which all delegates are invited to join. This can be used to facilitate carpooling arrangements between attendees, communicate event information and advise of any last-minute changes.
CPD
There will be a total of 6 formal CPD points available across Friday 18th September. The relevant performance criteria will be published here and RAA will provide all attendees with a certificate for formal CPD following the event. The Board of Architects requires participants maintain a record of learnings in relation to identified competencies and for these to be uploaded with the certificate.
Delegates can make their own assessment for informal CPD for fringe events.
