Our Friday speaker program will be held at the Moonah Arts Centre (MAC), an award-winning community arts hub designed by Hobart practice Morrison & Breytenbach Architects for Glenorchy City Council.

MOONAH ARTS CENTRE

The centre was conceived as a light box, a sound box, a treasure box and an outdoor space. Each principal space has a bold form and distinctive cladding, yet all of them stay flexible and interlinked. The stripped-back aesthetic lets the activity and stories of its users become the building's identity, giving artists and local communities a platform to own, express and share their stories. Located directly between Hobart and MONA, the centre has an excellent café and restaurant strip, public transport and parking nearby.
