The final session of the Friday main speaker day at the Brisbane Powerhouse is a panel discussion with a group of experts selected for their diverse perspectives on the future of the profession.  

Sarah Aldridge of Byron Bay practice Space Studio will moderate the session which will discuss the future of practice and the profession, looking at climate change, resource security, social capital, and where architects need to position themselves to lead the profession towards a conscious and viable future.

Tim Elgood, Director / Sustainability & Regeneration Lead at ADP Consulting, is a thought leader and specialist in sustainable master planning and engineering integrated with the environment whose expertise lies in the design of sustainable infrastructure for future climate change resilience. 

Emma Healy is an architect whose experience spans a variety of typologies and scales including housing, healthcare, institutional and education sectors with a focus on community-led projects. Emma is currently part of the team for Social and Affordable Housing at the Department of Housing and Public Works.

Stuart Vokes of Vokes and Peters is an architect recognised for his private houses and sustained research into suburban Brisbane, with a focus on projects that respond to prevailing settings, cultural narratives, human occupation and the presence of nature.
